Reneé L Mulcahy, an independent scholar and antiquarian with a profound interest in Renaissance art.

Renée L Mulcahy Biography
Renée's journey into Renaissance art began during a trip to Italy at age forty. This experience ignited her passion, leading her to discover hidden gestures in Michelangelo's works and to explore the meaning behind the horns on his Moses statue. She dedicated seven years to solitary writing in Joshua Tree, where she compiled over thirty encyclopedic reference books. These tomes document an ancient secret visual language known as the Green Language of the Birds, or the Hidden Stream of Wisdom, which encompasses hermeticism, alchemy, astronomy, architecture, metaphysics, esoteric philosophies, freemasonry, and the mastery of the mind. Her extensive travels to Italy over twenty-six years further deepen her understanding of a secret visual language connected to Freemasonry and ancient Mithraism.
Her first publishing opportunity arose after a meeting with Antonio Godoli, the architect of the Uffizi Galleria. She contributed to his book on the restoration of the stonemason's guild tabernacle by Nanni di Banco, focusing on secret meanings related to the Four Quatro Santi stonemasons at Orsanmichele in Florence. A few years later, with encouragement from Antonio Godoli and Eike Schmitt, the presiding director of the Uffizi Galleria, her research was deemed worthy of publication.
After more than two decades of dedicated research and writing, Renée's book, "Messages of the Masters," was published in 2021 in both English and Italian during the COVID-19 pandemic. The book reveals hidden signs and symbols in masterpieces by artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Andrea del Sarto, Bronzino, Raphael, and Mantegna. Her research was fact-checked by Uffizi personnel and translated into Italian by Antonio Godoli. "Messages of the Masters" is recognized as new scientific research in the art world and is held in numerous esteemed libraries and universities worldwide. Readers in France even funded the creation of a French edition Renaissance italienne - Les messages cachés des grands maîtres. Renée is confident that her book will offer readers new insights into viewing art in any museum.
Renée currently resides in Texas, where she continues her research and writing, maintaining her passion for uncovering mysteries in art history. Her next book will explore the secrets of the green language from ancient Egypt to the present day.
